Caramelized Bananas

  1. Carefully slice your banana. Set it aside.

  2. In a medium skillet over medium heat, melt butter and add sugar.

  3. Add banana, cinnamon, and pecans.

  4. Cook until banana is caramelized for about 2-3 minutes. Do not leave it unattended or it will burn.

French Toast

  1. Add egg, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and pumpkin spice together to a shallow dish whisking until combined. Set it aside close to the stove.

  2. In a large skillet or griddle over medium heat melt butter. Dip each slice of bread into the milk mixture and turn to evenly coat.

  3. Cook each slice of bread for about 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy.

  4. Make a sandwich using the caramelized bananas and your choice of marmalade if desired.

Note

For vegan replace the egg using 1/4 tsp of cornstarch or flaxseed egg. I find that avoiding the egg also works. It's up to you!
